I work full time as a statistical geneticist / bioinformatician / biostatistician. In my spare time, I am a keen runner, hiker and photographer.

Here I will publish three types of posts:

a) trail runs (either day trips or overnight trips with sleeping in local hostels, hotels, BnBs etc)

b) backpacking hikes (i.e. usually overnight trips, with camping in dispersed camping zones or, if required, in designated backcountry camp sites)

c) road trips

All trips will have full routes (usually with gpx files for download) with descriptions of both the course and the conditions when I did them as well as photographs taken on the day when I did the route.
